All staff now have the ability to add network printers. For common areas like labs, libraries and hallway wings we have already created printer policies that automatically add the closest printer for you. Adding network printers is a simple process. It is outlined in detail below.

 

 


 

 

  1. Click on the Start button located in the bottom left of your screen.  

  2. Click on Devices and Printers located on the right side of the start men

  3. Click on Add a printer located directly below the address bar.

  4. Click Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer

  5. You will now see a list of printers located in the school you are at. They are named based off of locations and room numbers.

  6. Select the printer you want to add and click The computer will now download the driver from the print server and install it to your computer. This can take anywhere between 15-45 seconds.

  7. Once the printer is installed you will have to click again and then

 

Note: Some printers have special permissions that allow only certain staff members to print to them. If you are prompted for a username and password while trying to add a printer then you do not have the proper permissions for that printer. Contact IT if that happens. Students can not add printers.
